I’m Lené, a former lawyer turned destination wedding photographer, with a slight rebellious streak and a tendency to take the scenic route in life. After doing the degree, qualifying and practising law for a few years, I realised the life I was expected to want wasn’t quite the one I wanted for myself. These days, I’m self-employed, camera in hand, and hopping on a flight every few days. Would I recommend it for work-life balance? Debatable. Would I trade it? Absolutely not.

I’m a fashion girl at heart, with a weakness for beautiful architecture, art, thoughtful interiors and anything aesthetically pleasing. A Libra, naturally. But I’m just as happy in hiking boots, out on my paddleboard, or spending an unreasonable amount of time treating my dogs like I personally birthed them.

I’m a genuine ambivert: social butterfly when the occasion calls for it, blanket burrito when it doesn’t. I pour everything into a wedding day, then happily retreat into my editing cave for some quiet time before emerging for my next adventure.

I’m also an empath and a recovering people-pleaser, which means there’s a very good chance I’ll cry during your ceremony or speeches. I get attached, I feel everything, and I care an awful lot. It’s probably why I love what I do.

A little love note to my future couples

Sometimes, I stop and think about the life I’ve built for myself, and the fact that it exists because people like you choose me. You choose to trust me with your memories, to invite a stranger into some of the most meaningful days of your lives, and to let me do something I genuinely love for a living.

I don’t think that will ever feel ordinary to me and I hope I never become so accustomed to this life that I forget just how lucky I am to live it.

Behind every enquiry, every booking and every wedding day is a person who has placed their trust in me. I know what a privilege that is, and I hope you feel it in the care I put into every part of what I do.
