The most beautiful Wedding Venues in Spain: A Photographer’s Bucket List
As a destination wedding photographer that has recently relocated to Spain, these are the venues I dream of photographing — each one full of light, texture, and unforgettable backdrops.
Spain is a place that feels alive in every sense — the golden light, the energy of the landscapes, the warmth of its people. And for a photographer, it’s an endless source of inspiration. From cliffside views in Ibiza to historic estates tucked into the hills near Barcelona, this country offers some of the most stunning wedding venues in Europe and I’m truly blessed to now call it home.
These are my personal bucket list venues in Spain — places I can’t wait to photograph love stories at. If you’re dreaming of a Spanish destination wedding and want timeless, candid images in an extraordinary setting, this list is for you.
1. Castell de Sant Marcel – Near Barcelona
An ultra-private estate nestled among hills and forest just outside Barcelona, Castell de Sant Marcel is a rare gem. With elegant interiors and open terraces, it’s the perfect setting for a modern-meets-romantic destination wedding.
Photographer’s dream: Clean architecture, spacious rooms, and soft evening light for golden portraits that feel effortless and intimate.
2. Son Marroig – Mallorca
Set high on the cliffs of Mallorca’s west coast, Son Marroig is one of the island’s most iconic venues — thanks in part to its white marble temple overlooking the sea.
Why it’s on my list: The contrast of white stone against the ocean, the cinematic sunsets, and the dramatic cliffside ceremony spot make it a photographer’s paradise.
3. La Baronia – Sant Feliu de Codines, Catalonia
A romantic castle-like estate in the Catalan countryside, La Baronia offers sweeping terraces, ivy-covered stone walls, and panoramic views.
My vision here: Elegant bridal portraits on the stone staircase, emotional golden hour ceremonies framed by cypress trees, and moody editorial moments in the historic interiors.
4. Masia Egara – Terrassa, Near Barcelona
This 16th-century Catalan manor blends rustic charm with timeless elegance. Masia Egara is surrounded by manicured gardens, olive groves, and beautiful courtyards.
Why I want to shoot here: It’s one of the best venues for full-day storytelling — from slow morning getting-ready photos to soft sunset portraits among the trees.
5. Bell Recó – Argentona, Near Barcelona
Bell Recó is luxury defined. With its dramatic arches, manicured gardens, and classic façade, it’s one of the most exclusive wedding venues in Spain.
Photographer’s note: The natural light that filters through the colonnades is perfect for editorial portraits, while the lush grounds provide endless options for couple and group shots.
6. Castell Son Claret – Mallorca
Tucked in the Tramuntana mountains, Castell Son Claret is a 19th-century castle turned five-star luxury hotel. It offers total privacy, Michelin-starred cuisine, and an incredibly romantic atmosphere.
What I imagine: A refined, modern wedding with mountain backdrops, soft floral design, and portraits among olive trees and stone courtyards.
7. Finca Son Togores – Mallorca
This traditional Mallorcan finca is equal parts rustic and refined. Finca Son Togores has ancient olive trees, terracotta details, and a serene mountain backdrop — perfect for slow, soulful wedding days.
Photographer’s dream: A warm summer evening, long shadows across the terrace, and a couple dancing under the stars.
8. Hacienda Na Xamena – Ibiza
Carved into the cliffs of northern Ibiza, Hacienda Na Xamena feels like it’s suspended between sea and sky. It’s modern, dramatic, and incredibly photogenic.
Why it’s a dream venue: The ocean views are unbeatable, and the light changes constantly — giving me endless opportunities to get creative with natural framing and atmosphere.
9. Amante Ibiza – Cala Llonga, Ibiza
This beachside restaurant and event space is one of the most stylish venues on the island. Amante Ibiza is known for its laid-back luxury and unreal ocean views.
What I’d love to capture: Portraits in the sand, golden light on the cliffs, and a sunset ceremony that melts into a moonlit dinner under the stars.
Why These Venues Are a Photographer’s Dream
The venues on this list have one thing in common: they offer variety, beauty, and light that tells a story. When I imagine photographing a wedding at any of these places, I see:
Candid, emotional moments in golden light
Bold, editorial portraits that still feel like you
Details captured in soft, flattering tones
Spaces that breathe — open skies, layered textures, meaningful backdrops
These are the kinds of venues that elevate your entire photography experience. Not just because they’re beautiful, but because they invite storytelling — the kind that lasts far beyond the wedding day.
